Christopher A. Papa, Esquire has a true passion for helping people solve their legal challenges. For the past fourteen years he has focused his practice on and successfully completed and litigated hundreds of estate and trust, real estate, and family law cases. Chris has also served as the assistant solicitor for the Zoning Hearing Board of the City of New Castle.
Chris understands the needs of entrepreneurs and real estate investors, because he is both. Chris, with his wife Joanna have significant personal experience with real estate investments. Chris, in the past, has also helped to start and operate several other business ventures, including a non-profit educational corporation in the City of Pittsburgh and an Italian ice cream parlor (Gelateria) in the City of New Castle.
Chris and Papa LLC's cases have been featured in many prestigious publications and news sources, including the Washington Times, Energy Wire, San Francisco Gate, Pittsburgh Tribune Review, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Wall-Street Journal, USA Today, New Castle News, Sharon Herald, WKBN Youngstown, ABC-27, and WPXI Pittsburgh Channel 11, among many others. His oral argument before the En Banc Panel of the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court was featured on PCN Television statewide.
In his community, Chris was elected and served two terms as the President of the Board of Trustees of the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh and also served as a board member of the Lawrence County Red Cross. He also served on the the Board of Directors of the New Castle Christian Academy. Chris is an active parishioner and a member of the Parish Finance Counsel at Saint Michael's Byzantine Catholic Parish in Hermitage Pennsylvania. He is also an active parishioner and sings in the Gregorian Chant and Sacred Polyphony Schola Cantorum Choir at Queen of the Holy Rosary Parish for the Traditional Latin Tridentine Mass. Chris is the program founder and former volunteer heach coach of the New Castle Christian Academy Cross Country Team. Finally, Chris is the head coach of his daughter's "Great Blue Herons" Soccer Team.
Chris graduated with honors, Magna Cum Laude, from theUniversity of Pittsburgh and ranked in the top 10 of his class at Duquesne University School of Law. While at Duquesne, Chris was chosen for the prestigious Trial Moot Court Team and the Community and Economic Development Legal Clinic. While a New Castle Red Hurricane football player, Chris was awarded the “Rudy Award” for outstanding Character, Courage, Contribution and Commitment.
Chris is a member of both the Lawrence County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Special Sections on Real Property, Trust and Probate Law as well as Elder Law.
Personally, Chris lives with his family and many "creatures great and small" on a small farm in Rural Pennsylvania. He enjoys playing the Cello, singing, reading, running, gardening, and helping with goats, ducks and chickens. Learn more about Chris at his Law Blog.
